• throughout the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019 a widely scattered group of musical acquaintances undertook an exercise in creation.

• the rules: each week, write and record a new piece of music from scratch. submit it via email by midnight monday morning or you are permanently out. if you stay in, you receive a playlist of everybody's recordings for your listening pleasure.

•any submission is acceptable, from a fifteen second voice memo to a fully arranged and mixed future album track.

•in week one there were 50 song submissions. by week fifteen there were only two.

•the participants of week one were asked if they wanted to contribute a favorite submission from any week, to be released on a compilation. twenty one of them did, and the result is this beautiful, billowing, brilliant bounty; two discs of inspired cuts in ascending track length order.

•all 2020 profits from this release will go directly to Make The Road NYC, which "builds the power of immigrant and working class communities to achieve dignity and justice." maketheroadny.org
